Global 1 Casing Stabbing Boards have been designed to provide a safe and efficient elevating mobile work platform for use on all types of offshore and onshore drilling Derricks.

Our Casing Stabbing Boards are designed and manufactured with the emphasis on safety, strength, and reliability, and also offers the operator clear access to the casing.

As demonstrated by the fact that it has been effectively installed and operated on drilling rigs both onshore and offshore, due to its unique design it is able to accommodate our customers’ requests for most subtle modifications requested.

Safety Features Include;
  • Global 1 Casing Stabbing Boards (CSB) comply with current international Health and Safety recommendations.
  • Automatic fail-safe brake system incorporated into the pneumatic winch.
  • Safety lock system incorporated into the casing stabbing board carriage which is activated automatically in the event of winch, brake, or wire rope failure.
  • Secondary safety lock on the casing stabbing board carriage which automatically locks carriage in position when the winch control handle is in the neutral position.
  • Operator Safety screens are fitted between the vertical track’s rails to offer the operator maximum protection.
  • Emergency escape ladder fitted with operator Inertia reel runs parallel with the stabbing board track providing a safe means of escape from the stabbing board at any position.
  • High quality belly belt is fitted for operator comfort and safety.
  • All control valves are spring return handles which automatically return to the neutral position.
  • A safety factor of no less than 10:1 is designed into the lifting and safety systems.

Attachment points above the carriage and emergency escape ladder are provided to secure the operator fall arrest inertia reels, and fall arrest harness.

Casing Stabbing Board Comprises of;
  • Fully fabricated rail section and travelling carriage assembly, complete with derrick attachments for securing to derrick or mast.
  • Platform powered by a purpose-built air winch fitted with automatic fail-safe brakes, designed for a safe working load 225Kg (500lb).
  • Also features Independent safety locking systems, which automatically operate in the highly unlikely event of winch, cable, or brake failure.
  • Safety Limit switches prevents the operator’s carriage from being powered into the top and bottom of the CSB tracks
